Application forms will be issued to candidates (male and female) who qualify the entrance test, preliminary medical, PET and interview conducted in the respective PNR&SC.
Candidates applying for Operations Branch will have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET) as per the following criteria.

- Only merit shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.
- Candidates recommended by ISSB/Personality will be medically examined at nearby CMH/PNS SHIFA Hospitals.
- Personality Test (PAT) for medical branch candidates will be conducted at PNR&SC.
- PN Selection Board Interview
- Final selection will be made by Naval Headquarters based on merit.
Note:
- Candidates are advised to get their ears waxed and teeth cleaned by a specialist before reporting for medical examination.
- The Medical Branch Specialist will be posted in Karachi/Islamabad (except for one term). Evening practice and teaching at PN Hospital as per policy.

The following are disqualified:
- Rejected by ISSB/GHQ/NHQ/AHQ Selection Board.
- Twice after Post Graduation.
- Twice before Post Graduation and once after Post Graduation.
- Once before Post Graduation and once after Post Graduation.
* However, those with higher qualification i.e. PhD and FRCS/equivalent are eligible for additional opportunities. - This opportunity is applicable only when PhD and FRCS candidates are required.
- Third chance of ISSB is not applicable for graduate course of operations branch.
- Screened twice at ISSB.
- Tested within four months (120 days), difference of previous appearance in ISSB (not for recommended candidates).
- ISSB/GHQ/NHQ/Selection Boards are examined within a period of validity of one year (for recommended candidates).
- Dismissed/removed/resigned from government service.
- Convicted by a court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
- Disqualified by the Appellate Medical Board.
- Medically ineligible due to hepatitis B&C (cannot apply for AMB).
- Disqualified by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by the Appellate Medical Board.
- Withdrawal from any Bonded Armed Forces College/Institution on disciplinary grounds.
- Withdrawal/resignation/dismissal from Academy/Training Institutions including Armed Forces on any ground.
- Married to a foreigner.
- Submission of tampered educational certificate.
- Hiding information in the application form.
- Women in a family way.
- Candidates holding dual citizenship unless they surrender before commissioning/passing out or within 6 months of joining PN, whichever is earlier.
*Note: Married female candidates have to provide an affidavit stating
“She will not be in a family way” during induction and training.
