FDE will recruit 1000 teachers.
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) recently announced plans to recruit 1,000 new teachers before the next academic session. The FDE said the directorate would add 1,000 teachers to the system for improvement. However, the FDE Director General said that the FDE has already recruited 337 teachers for rural schools with full transparency. At the same time, the FDA will conduct a recruitment test for 250 teachers on April 17, 2022.
The Director General said that we do not have a shortage of budget but there are some administrative issues. He said that besides SST, teachers have been promoted. He also directed the AEOs to purchase furniture, labs and sports equipment. However, 260 million has already been spent.
“We have sent a summary of the supplementary grant to the Ministry of Finance,” he added. He is hopeful that recruitment problems will ease this year. He said that FDE was trying its best to solve the problems of teachers and had been doing so on priority basis for over a decade.
